Applications to the MDMC programme must be submitted online within the specified deadline. The selection process is based on the evaluation of candidates’ qualifications and motivation.
Applications can be submitted online only, through the official application platform. Candidates are required to complete the online application form and upload all the required documents by the deadline specified in the call.

Candidates are evaluated by a Selection Committee composed of representatives from Area Science Park and SISSA, together with external members from institutions supporting the programme through fellowships.
The selection is based on the candidate’s CV and motivation letter. If deemed appropriate by the Selection Committee, candidates may also be invited to an online interview as part of the evaluation process.
MDMC offers 15 places for full participants, who attend the in-person lectures and complete the traineeship and final project.
Up to 5 additional places are available for auditors, who attend the in-person lectures but do not participate in the traineeship or final project. Auditors are not subject to a selection process if the number of applications does not exceed the 5 available places.
The new call for applications for the 2027–2028 edition of MDMC will open in spring 2028.
